StanRogers.net rises again with a brand new design!

As you can tell, the web site has a new look. This refit has been a long time coming, but we hope it was worth the wait. There may be a section or two that isn't *quite* up and running, but we though it best to give you what's ready than make you wait any longer.

Here are the major changes that have been made to the site:

Improved navigation and usability - find song lyrics, multimedia, and recordings as well as other content quickly.
More multimedia - You asked for it and here it is. More photos, videos, and access to other Stan information online.
A search tool to help you look for what you don't readily see.
Improved typography - Text is readable and spaced for quick scanning.
Improved cross-browser compatibility - We support all current major browsers (Firefox, IE7, Opera, Safari, and Chrome).
We're portable - You can subscribe to our RSS feed or our Twitter profile and stay in the know on latest updates and additions to the web site when you're surfing elsewhere.

Please note that we no longer support Internet Explorer 6. You can read why here and here.

We look forward to making more effort to improve the site and deliver the content you want to see. Get in touch with us if there's anything you'd like to see.

Artists help support Stan's continuing legacy

Regular visitors to our web site will know the Ongoing Legacy section, which features covers of Stan's songs by artists around the world. Well, we're taking this opportunity to have you discover more great music and some fine renditions of Stan's work by visiting our Ongoing Legacy page.

If you're looking to record any of Stan's songs, you can request permission by contacting Fogarty's Cove Music. Once you've obtained permission and record the track, we'd like to have a listen and potentially add you to our Ongoing Legacy page.

Stan's debut album of songs inspired by Nova Scotia, includes classics like 45 Years, Giant, and Make & Break Harbour.
Turnaround
A mix of roots & contemporary styles, including tracks Jeannie C., So Blue, Song of the Candle, and cover of Archie Fisher's classic Dark-Eyed Molly.
Between the Breaks...Live!
Includes high-energy songs like Barrett's Privateers and Mary Ellen Carter as well as poignant ballads like Harris & the Mare and First Christmas.
Northwest Passage
The prairies and north are represented here with Field Behind the Plough, Canol Road, and the title track, which is regarded by many as Canada's "other" national anthem.

A collection of trad songs Stan grew up with, including The Badger Drive, Scarborough Settler's Lament, and songs penned by his own family.
From Fresh Water
Stan explores the area and history of Ontario and the Great Lakes region with songs like White Squall, Macdonnel on the Heights, and the powerful Lockkeeper.
Home in Halifax
A posthumous live album of some fan favourites, including the witty between-song banter Stan and the band were known for.
Poetic Justice
Two radio plays broadcasted on the CBC: Harris & the Mare (inspired by Stan's song) and The Sisters (by Silver Donald Cameron).
From Coffee House to Concert Hall
A mix of Stan's early studio work and concert footage from late in his career. Includes Acadian Saturday Night, Guysborough Train, and A Puddler's Tale.
A Matter of Heart
A cast recording featuring some of Stan's best-known songs.
